Happy Hour Spreadsheets
So, ThriftyDrunk.com was designed to be an alternative to excel spreadsheet happy hour lists. What the hell am I talking about? A few years ago, while living in Washington, DC, a friend forwarded me an excel spreadsheet that had hundreds of local happy hour specials listed on it. It seemed at the time to be the greatest single addition to drinking since the hip-flask.
When we tried to use the DC spreadsheet, however, we realized that the vast majority of the bar specials were out of date, and some bars had even closed since some anonymous pioneering soul had pioneered a way to list all the happy hour specials in one place. It was essentially all for not.
That's why we've brought you the ThriftyDrunk.
Anyways, as you can see, ThriftyDrunk doesn't include every city in America, and we are on a mission of aggressive expansion. We want American's to drink more (much more) for less. Thats why we're looking for happy hour spreadsheets. If you have one for NYC or somewhere else, and it seems reasonably up to date, please
send it to us, and we'll upload it -- because it's probably easier for thrifty drunks to update bars once they're already listed than to add a whole new city worth of bars to the database.
In addition to DC, I've heard of spreadsheets existing for NYC (rumored to be more than 30mb), Seattle, and a few other places.
With your help, whether its sending us spreadsheets or updating bars, together we can make ThriftyDrunk the greatest single addition to drinking since the stoop and the 40!
Cheers,
ThriftyDrunk.com
